Yes. PagFinance operates with self-custody, which means your crypto never leaves your wallet until the exact moment of payment. All transactions are verifiable on-chain. The platform does not store private keys and is in the process of PSAV authorization by the Central Bank of Brazil.

PagFinance is in the process of authorization as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (PSAV) with the Central Bank of Brazil, under BCB Resolutions 519, 520 and 521. October 30, 2026 is the regulatory deadline to file the authorization request with the BCB (270 days from the resolutions taking effect on February 2, 2026), and operations continue as normal while the request is under review. The platform operates in compliance with Law 14,478/2022 (the Brazilian Crypto Legal Framework).

For KYC-2 users, the fee starts at 2.75% (up to R$ 5,000) and drops progressively to 1.75% (above R$ 100,000), with a minimum floor of R$ 1.20 for PIX. For KYC-1 (no verification), the fee is a flat 3.50%. The fee already includes crypto-to-BRL conversion and payment processing via PIX or boleto. There are no monthly fees and no hidden charges.
